Course Description:
Regardless of profitability, employers are finding it more crucial to find the right “A” players and ensure they are engaged and share in the firm’s vision. More unemployed candidates are available, yet employers are at risk of key players leaving resulting in unwanted turnover. In this workshop we’ll explore the insider secrets from one the region’s premier search firms of how to find passive candidates. We’ll review key questions and considerations to make prior to beginning your search.
In addition, we’ll show how assessments can help to more accurately determine a candidate’s fit with your needs. You’ll also be able to review a sample engagement survey that determines how energized your current players are – or if they’re ready to jump ship.
Our session will end with “stories from the front” – interviews with other tech-minded executives who have learned and honed their recruiting strategies to find the best candidates. You’ll have a rare behind-the-scenes peek at how other high tech firms are leveraging their recruitment investment.
Points To Be Covered:
- Finding “A” players – recruitment research techniques and tools; services available to leverage these
- How and why assessments get to the heart of the job – and how to identify candidates with the “right” heartbeat

For over 20 years, Jennifer Leake has been dedicated to helping organizations improve their performance by: having the right people in the right job; providing employees with clear expectations; creating positive and effective work groups; and developing leaders who know how to manage and motivate individuals.
An employee assessment specialist, she believes people who enjoy their job, the people they work with, and the people they work for will help any organization attract and retain loyal employees who get the job done. Because the most important qualities a job applicant possesses may not show on the surface and great interviewees don’t always translate into great performers, she helps organizations use assessments to build better teams.
