Company Info

Marquiss Wind Power (MWP) was founded in August 2006, capitalizing on 30 years of turbine design research by founder Stanley Marquiss. Through a unique and patented technology (Patent Portfolio) Marquiss provides a ducted wind turbine, the only of its kind in the world, for use on the rooftops of commercial and industrial businesses.

Based in Folsom, California, Marquiss Wind Power currently has three versions of its patented wind turbine, Aeropoint, on the market that optimize wind power generation in different wind environments.  To date, extensive testing has been done to understand the capabilities of the turbine and to document the power it generates at different wind velocities. Marquiss specializes in providing customers with a turnkey alternative energy solution, assisting with everything from obtaining building permits to identifying rebate and incentive opportunities to providing final installation.

Stanley Marquiss
Founder/Inventor
Marquiss founder, Stanley Marquiss, spent 30 years researching ways to harness wind energy in a distributed, urban environment.  Employing elements of aerospace technology and noise abatement, Marquiss’ early designs of the ducted fan wind turbine were first introduced in the 1980’s.  He updated them following the California electricity crisis in 2000.

Stanley made perfecting the design of a wind solution for urban areas his life’s ambition, building in excess of 40 wind turbines until he found the right technology.  As a result, Marquiss’ ducted turbines are uniquely designed to safely utilize and effectively track the turbulent winds found on traditional flat rooftops.

After patenting that technology, Stanley formed Marquiss Wind Power in August 2006 in a joint venture with Velocity Venture Capital.  Today, he remains a shareholder and consultant to the company
